Due to the COVID-19 situation, CEU and eucen have been forced to cancel the November 2020 conference in Budapest and postpone it to June 2022. The title of the conference and its strands might be reviewed later (to fine-tune them to more actual needs), but the main topic of our conference in 2022 will be the same as planned for 2020. A revised Call for Contributions will be launched in October 2021. Please, take note of these new dates! Thank you for your understanding.

We look forward to welcoming you in Budapest in 2022!

Next eucen Conference will be held in Utrecht, Netherlands in 2021

University Lifelong Learning for increased participation, performance and partnership

Recognizing that lifelong learning requires the concerted efforts of multiple stakeholders, the 52nd eucen conference will focus on ULLL for increased participation, performance and partnerships. Universities are important players in increasing participation in education but collaboration with other stakeholders (including but not restricted to local authorities, state agencies and non-governmental organizations) is often the key to success.

The Conference in Budapest welcomes papers and presentations that address participation, performance and partnership within the following main themes:

  • University Lifelong Learning in Learning Cities
  • Universities promoting inclusive education and community engagement
  • Universities' role in Work-based Learning
